| I met Katie at SDSU. She was always a quiet, sweet presence in our dance classes, and ultimately our lives. I don't remember a project that Marcy, Amara or I did in the past decade where Katheryn wasn't involved in some way or another. She was a lovely dancer and a lovely person. I will never forget her smile, her laugh or her funny, mischievous spirit. I'm sorry to have moved away before meeting David and Oscar, and my heart goes out to them for their loss.
