Katie and I were best friends in middle school/high school. We spent every chance we could together. I remember eating cookie dough, making brownies, quesadillas, playing "Skip-Bo", and driving around being crazy. One silly story I remember is when her car battery died and she wasn't sure why the car wouldn't start. I mentioned to her, "Maybe the battery died." Her response was, "Cars have batteries??" That was something we always teased her about. I remember driving around and making up silly dances that we did in the car (probably hoping someone would notice us). Katie was the one person that I told everything to and I loved her dearly. Katie moved away and we grew apart some. When I had my son, she lived in San Diego and we went to visit her and she showed us around. I had recently gotten back in touch with her in England and was so glad to re-connect as I've always felt a deep connection with her. She will be greatly missed and I regret the times that we should've kept in contact and didn't. My prayers go out to her family, especially her beautiful son. I hope that he can see through all of these that she was silly, full of life, and a wonderful friend.
Love ya, Katie!
